| hunnybunny303's Full Review: InSTEP SC600 Umbrella Stroller |
I bought this stroller when my son was about 5 months old. He's now almost a year -- we've used this stroller nearly every day and it still looks/works good as new. It's been tossed in and out of the back of a car/truck, gone through the rigors of airplane travel several times, and it shows barely any signs of wear.
The oversize wheels are great for rougher terrain -- in a pinch, you can even take it off-road. The canopy is also a great feature, and one you don't find on most umbrella strollers. Best of all are the telescoping handles. I tried other umbrella strollers and ended up kicking the wheels and/or frame while trying to push it -- and I'm not even that tall (5'7").
The only thing that really bugs me about this stroller is the way they designed the "latch" to hold it shut. It's actually just a length of belt-type material with two snaps on it -- it's attached to the bottom frame and you have to wrap it around the body frame when the stroller is flat and snap it to itself. Well, it's nearly impossible to fasten the snap unless a) there's nothing in the basket and b) you've got the front wheels turned the correct way. They should've re-thought this mechanism.
Other than this minor detail, however, it's a great stroller!
