Good, but not Beck at his best

Pros: Typical randomness you might expect from Beck.

Cons: Does not have the same feel as previous albums (i.e. slow and depressing).

This album has the typical Beck sounds, but it doesn't really have the same feel that Midnite Vultures and Odelay brought. Most of the songs are slow and seem kind of depressing. I have heard that this album was released after breaking up with his longtime girlfriend, so that might lend an explanation.
