I believe this was the review I found when I was researching Miele that told me there is a better choice. I purchased a cannister-type Sebo, because that's the style I was after, but I had not heard of Sebo before reading this review.

Comparison to Miele (Reply to this comment)
by raper1
To be fair a Miele isn't really intended for carpeted floors, regardless of the powered brush attachment. Uprights always do better. Our Miele sucks for carpet and the powered brush frequently just stops turning. But it can't be beat for bare floors.
Actually, we have both the Miele canister and the Sebo X-4. The best of both worlds since our large house is 50/50 tile and carpet.

Welcome (Reply to this comment)

Good morning, I'm Ron and welcome to the Great Epinions community. You did great on your first review. You might want to add how much this vacuum weights. Is it easy to carry up the stairs, or does it need a crane to lift? How long did you go before your bag would fill up - a month, two months, a year? These are a few other things someone may want to know in making an informaed decision about purchasing this unit.
Good luck and I hope you stay around and write more of your mind on Epinions.
