Microsoft has just recently started to advertise Flight Sim X on TV, and even in their ads the framerate is horrible. I can't believe they didn't use a more souped up system to show off this game when they are spending far more on the TV airtime. Unless of course this program doesn't run smoothly on any system!
I haven't played this game, but have been a fan of 3D "FPS" (First-person perspective shooter) games on and off for years. I find 3D games to be nearly unplayable when the framerate is as bad as that shown in their commercial. The choppiness can make you feel slightly ill, which is ironic, because the commercial mentions feeling nauseated. I think they were trying to say, "It's so realistic, you might feel airsick." No, it's your framerates.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this game. I think I'll look around for the bargain bins for an older version if I feel like running a flight sim.
