| generally's Full Review: SIIG MobileCam Light Pro Web Cam |
This camera is fairly small and has a fairly decent picture considering the size of the unit without the flex-arm. Even with the flex-arm it can fit nicely in a generous pocket. Manual focus by turning the lens is available, but out of the box, my unit was focused fine for webcam use. There is an on an off switch for the LEDs in the back and a "snapshot" button on the right side. A microphone is also built into the unit.
One thing to keep in mind is that you need good lighting on the camera subject, which isn't surprising since even the best cameras need a flash when it is too dark. The LEDs can be misleading as you would believe they are there to light up a subject. But, they are intended to function as a light source for seeing your keyboard or other paperwork if working in the dark. This was confirmed by a message from SIIG tech support:
"...The LEDs only light up the desktop when using the camera..."
Most people probably believe or assume that the LEDs are for camera lighting, but they are not. SIIG did not make this clear in the manual.
