Pros: compact size, sturdy, easy to operate software, great rich sound quality, nice looking design
Cons: MINOR: weak volume, temperamental joystick, dim display, mediocre radio tuner, packaging tighter than Fort Knox!!
The Bottom Line: This product, despite its minor flaws, is excellent and I highly recommend it...The only MP3 player I have found thats is perfectly suitable for runners, weight trainers, and most activity.

| nytropix22's Full Review: Rio Cali Sport (128 MB) MP3 Player |
This is my very first portable MP3 player,I cannot compare it to previous buys but I did do research before purchasing this, and I am VERY pleased!
I wanted it primarily for jogging and working out, and this fits the bill..Once snapped onto the armband, its quite sturdy and wont fall off even under rigorous running (my #1 concern).
It holds about 25-30 MP3 songs, which is plenty for a usual 90 minute work-out. The great thing is that you can expand its capacity if need be.
THE HEADPHONES: many of the complaints i read were aimed at the headphones.I find them unwarranted, the headphones are very ergonomic (fit well), sound good, and do not fall out easily.
THE SOFTWARE: The second biggest complaint about this player.I also found them unwarranted, the software seems user friendly, even to novices (No drag-and-drop, but by no means "difficult" to use).
MY CONS: these are minor, but cons nonetheless. The sound quality is very rich, but the maximum volume is not loud enough for me ( this is a personal preference). also, the "Riostick" joystick is not sensitive enough, and I have trouble toggling back and forth between skipping ahead WITHING a song to skipping ahead to the NEXT song...this is my #1 complaint, if they could fix this then excellent...also, the LED screen is a little dim, external packaging excessively sealed and the radio tuner is a little weak but as one reviewer puts it, "WHO CARES",you buy this primarily for MP3 use.
Again these are minor complaints..overall, an excellent first MP3 player, for work-out needs.
