Pros: Good player and easy to use.
Cons: USB connection is iffy and not designed well.
The Bottom Line: Don't get it close to any liquids, or it won't work again. USB port design is terrible.

| jbaago's Full Review: Rio Cali Sport (128 MB) MP3 Player |
I was pretty happy with this player for 3 months (coincidentally the length of the warranty). Then the weather got warmer and it stopped playing in the middle of a couple of workouts with the message "USB Connected - Waiting." I noticed that the USB port was somewhat damp with sweat that had pooled up in the bottom of the plastic carrying case. (The USB port is at the bottom center of the player, so it is only natural that any fluid getting past the plastic case would pool at the bottom and back up into the USB port, including rain).
After that, I couldn't get any computer--I tried a couple--to recognize the player as a USB device. So I can't move any MP3 files from or to it. After installs upon reinstalls, I still can't move any files from or to it.
I called Rio support and got run through the gauntlet on different things to try, most of which I'd already done. After 2 calls and 2 hours I was informed it was out of the 90 day warranty so they wouldn't cover it. They did offer a $59 out-of-warranty replacement, like I'd want to waste more money inheriting the same design defect. No thanks. No more Rio's.
