| weareqpr's Full Review: Rio Cali Sport (256 MB) MP3 Player |
I spent a long, long, long time deciding on an mp3 player. I was attracted to the ipod and other 10gb models but wasn't sure if the extra cost could be justified and decided I would never really need the space for thousands of songs... I don't know thousands of songs!!
I finally settled on the Rio Cali and could not be happier. I didn't want a rechargeable battery, especially as I have heard growing rumours that the fixed batteries in say the ipod for example wear out and cannot be replaced. Within 15 minutes of receiving my cali I had transferred 57 mp3 tracks from my laptop and sat back to see if I had spent my money wisely. I had. The unit is easy to use and the sound quality far exceeded my expectations. Even the radio worked perfectly! The unit is small, fits into the palm of my hand and is far more portable than the bulkier, more expensive models. I'm already looking around to add a 512 memory card which should allow up to around 180 songs.. more than I could ever need. The only and I mean only thing I do not like is the headphones. They are crap. I have ordered sony in ears and expect them to increase my enjoyment even further.
All I can say is, if you want an inexpensive mp3 player with plenty of storage, ease of use and great sound quality, buy one of these little babies. You will not be disappointed.
