lindseyjbug's Full Review: Rio Chiba Street (128 MB) MP3 Player
I now have an iPod, which I do recommend if you want better sound quality and more songs with you... but the Rio Chiba is for those of us who don't want to spend over $50 and still have a decent player. I got this Mp3 player last February and it still works fine. I was stupid and bought the thing when it was brand new on the market for $150.
I liked the headphones, actually... sound quality was good. This Mp3 player really rolls with the punches. If I had a dime for every time I dropped it on the hard pavement of the track, I'd be filthy rich. Obviously, the space is a little limited- but if you choose a few good songs the Chiba should hold out for a long run.
One negative thing I have to say is that I went through batteries rather rapidly. It takes one AAA battery, and that goes out after about five or six 45 minute running sessions.
Besides that, the device is extremely light and portable, comes with an attachment that allows you to hook it to the waist of your shorts with ease, and is a good bargain if you're a little low on cash. Also, the radio worked fine for me.
