| pbernard's Full Review: Sony Handycam® DCR-TRV70 Mini DV Camcorder |
I finally had to replace an 11-year old HI-8 Sony camera. When it came to formats, I went with Mini-DV because it seems to be the best for reproducing digital pictures. I decided my experience with Sony was good, so now the question was,"Which camera is best for me?"
After comparing features and megapixels, the TRV-70 fit the bill. It is easy to operate, shoots in low light, and had a "still" feature that is convenient.
My only gripe so far is the amazing number of features on this unit. I will likely never use some of them. One that will never be used is the Internet connection. I find the battery to last a long time, and the picture quality to be good. I shoot in 16:9 for my wide-screen t.v. The shots look pretty good for a 2 megapixel camera.
The TRV-70 is a good little camera, that I hope, will last another 10 years.
