There are several great detailed reviews which reveal many of the great features of this TV. The purchase of this TV fits those wanting a big screen with viewability from different angles, lighter weight than conventional CRT (70 lbs. vs. 300 lbs. for a similar size), and great cost value with long-lasting appeal. This type of TV (LCD projection) is the perfect choice for the next 10 years bar none.
All digital and HD cable signals will dominate the airwaves by 2007 making analog signals a thing of the past. By 2008 a law will be enacted by congress making it illegal to transmit signals in Analog from any cab/sat provider. This will solve the array of various signals received making some channels appear better than others. There's a newer version of this set (KF42WE655")which adds 10 pounds adding a built-in tuner. You will get stunning HD picture quality with this TV, and (you will need an HD receiver Box to receive HD signals) you will be glad to know this set will outlast any plasma or LCD out on the market without costing their respective plasma/lcd prices. There's no screen burn (i've had mine over a year now) and the only expense you will run is a new projector bulb every 3 to 5 years depending on your viewing amount, which can be installed yourself.
The footprint depth of this set is also very small like 14 inches, less than half the depth of a 32 inch CRT so you save room on your entertainment center placement. It can be viewed from a wider angle than "DLP" projection tv's in a room which is a great advantage also over older plain projector sets.
All in all, this Sony tv is a great value positioned for the coming all digital (HD) signals soon to be a standard, and keeps up the acclaimed Sony reputation that made Sony Trinitron the got-to-have tv of the 80's and early 90's. Welcome to the 21st century, and the same quality continues with these LCD projection sets!
