Cons: Blacks could be better.

I purchased this TV back in 2003 when only real men bought wide screen. Ha. However, I have never been disappointed. I expected to replace the lamp within 3 years of purchase but it is still running strong. I did have something to do with the speakers replaced, out of warranty, but Sony picked up $100 of the $225 total cost.
Comcast HD is impressively good, as are DVD's. The detail is as good as any I've ever seen.
As with any technology it's only as good as the signal it receives. Not all HD channels are equal and this set will praise the good ones and shatter the not so good ones. Same goes for DVDs. It is incredibly forgiving with some and it's hard to view others.
The matching stand is a perfect fit and definitely is worth the cost.
