I wish I could take this TV home with me.

Pros:Good Clarity, Great Sound, Good Color Combinations, Plenty of Audio/Video ports and S-Video ports
Cons:Price, as on all Sony products, Easily breakable.
The Bottom Line: Get the thing if you can afford it, and thats the bottom line.
I see lots of Big Screen, Plasma Televisions at work, but this one is the best that I have seen so far. When we first got it in, I was surprised by it's size, since I had never seen a Plasma TV so large. It caught my eye, and from that point forward, I couldn't stop looking at it.
If you are a tech junky or just your ordinary person that loves TV, you will definitely love this Television. It has great picture. I put in Oceans 11 on a 69' Mitsubishi Television and compared it to the Sony plasma TV that we just got in, and man was I surprised.
The movie seemed so dark on the Mitsubishi TV, and on Sony TV it was crystal clear. Not do dark, and not to bright. I messed around with all the different color features, and it just got better from there.
The menu is very easy accessible and it is easy to move around from one place to another, from the TV panel and the remote. One problem I did notice was that the remote did have a lot of buttons. Hah, I don't like a lot of buttons. I personally just need a channel and volume plus some other basic functions. But other then that, the TV is easily controllable.
The sound on the TV is amazing. You don't even need to get a separate home theater system. I could almost go so far as to call it Bose quality sound. I was surprised with this too. Other Sony Televisions that we get in lack in sound quality, this is not the case here though.
When I was hooking up the TV to the RF Unit at work I noticed something else. There are like a zillion audio/video ports on the front and back of the TV. I don't know why anyone would need so many, but it never hurts to have it right? There are four Audio/Video ports with one on the front, and 3 S-Video ports with one also being on the front.
Another great thing about the TV is that it's a serious eye catcher. A lot of TV's we are getting in now are silver on black, and this is another fine example. It could match with any color in you living room or den.
If you have little ones running around the house then I wouldn't recommend you getting this TV. If they poke at the screen or throw stuff at it, it WILL get messed up. I mean, its replaceable by warranty, but still, once that runs out you will be done for. Anything sharp or pointy, will mess up the screen very easily.
Well, as with all Sony products there is a downside, it's price. At $7000, it's not what you would call a bargain. So unless you are rolling in dough, get another TV. I really love it but, it's not worth the price. You could go with some other plasma television, maybe a little smaller, and save a lot of money. Give this a year or so and the price will drop dramatically.
