I just bought the Sony Dav-S300 DVD entertainment center so I needed a new tv to go with it. I went to circuit city, best buy, hifi buys looking for tv's. They pretty much carry the same things at all three. After comparing tv's I fell in love with the Wega's. No matter what size it was they all look good. The screen is so sharp and vivid. No other tv came close. Panasonic and Samsung make a tv which is close to the wega. They even copy the same silver color casing. This tv is kinda pricey compared to what you can buy with the same amount of money. But if money isn't an option then this tv is for you. You can buy a 32-36 inch in any other brand for the same price of this 27in. at $600.00 But the quality of this tv is amazing. I have a new sony trintron 17inch computer monitor at work. I was amazed with my computer monitor I just had to get a sony trintron tv thats when I saw they wega. Sony makes another black trinitron tv but its no where close to the wega but its hundreds cheaper. I highly recommend this tv. There is an upgrade model from this tv which isn't worth the price in my opinion. Its the same tv except it has PIP(picture in picture), different speaker(there placed on the sides versus the bottom)and more audio/video inputs in the rear. In some stores this model goes for $100-$200 extra for the tv. Not worth it in my opinion. But if you have the cash go for it. The sound is pretty good on the tv but really in my opinion all tvs to me sound the same. I have most of my tv's in the house going into some type of external stereo system.
