Pros: great color, sound, not too expensive
Cons: the power surge incident
I am a college student and needed a new TV for our new apartment we were moving into. I figured I might as well buy a nice TV. I have always trusted Sony products, especially their trinitron technology.
I shopped around and found out that Service Merchandise had the lowest price for this TV, was was also aware that Circuit city beats everyones price, so I told Circuit City about the price I saw at Service Merchandise and I ended up getting it cheaper at Circuit City. A little shopping around can save you a few bucks.
The TV worked great for the 3 month term i spent at school. The picture came in good compared to everyone elses pictures(we had crappy cable service there). But one thing I noticed after getting it home and turning it on and off a few times, was the TV really was getting a power surge when I was turning it on and off up at school. I also notice now that the picture is tilted so you cant read whats going on in the lower left hand corner of the TV. I did get a warranty so I will be taking it in to be fixed.
I play Dreamcast games on the TV and the color and sound is great. It has an on screen digital control which is very easy to adjust the settings of the TV. The TV comes with surround sound capability and we had a 6 piece polk audio surround system in our apartment, the sound quality was unbelievable.
Overall this has been a great TV, not too big, not too small, quality picture and sound from a quality name. I hope this has been useful. = )
