Pros: Color quality, inputs, 1080i, feature selections
Cons: Weight, price, apparent geometry problem, aspect ratio
The Bottom Line: If Sony could get their act together, either in the area of quality control or service I would recommend the monitor. As-is though, I can't (See my review).

When I first saw this monitor I was very surprised to see a distinct non-linear bowing on the bottom of the screen when viewing letterbox format. When viewing off air HDTV signal, bowing was also quite apparent on the right edge of the picture. The Sony service tech came and attempted (for 3 hours) to correct the problems with the software calibration. He was successful in only increasing distortion of the picture. A second technician was dispatched 2 weeks later with no improvement. The technician said he's seen this problem before, but there's nothing he could do to make it better. He was reluctant to adjust hardware (i.e. yoke magnets or other). I have registered a complaint with Sony Service headquarters and am still awaiting a formal response from them (2+ weeks now). I have seen this problem, but not as bad on some floor models locally, and this seem to be a problem with this set.
I'm amazed that a product from Sony, at this price, should have such a quality fault.
