Hello to everyone reading this, I am writing this article to tell people that this units software is good I have just gotten done using it for the first time without instructions and everything ripped on the Minidisk perfect. I haven't messed with breaking CD's into "trees" as they call it. But I took a a whole album that was in WMA form and brought it onto the MD and adding multiple tracks from different Foo Fighters albums(that were in WMA form)and did not swear once. It was easy so I do not understand the problem with the software. If you have used any burning software like Roxio, musicmatch, nero any kind of burning or ripping utilities you will be fine. Like any software to really take advantage of it you have to do trial and error, I mean come on nothing is easy when you want to get in depth with it. But in my case i have 10 gigs of WMA albums and I just clicked on IMPORT and all my music was in the program and I just brought it from one box to the next and hit transfer. You can click on individual songs hit transfer and keep adding to the MD's list while you keep adding tracks it is rather easy. So if this is your first time with any software yeah its probably going to be a pain in the butt but thats until you get used to how these programs work. I bought this unit for my wife so she can have a lightweight unit at the gym and when I have to mow the lawn and stuff like that. As far as skipping I don't know or battery life but everyone seems to say that it works great. I bought this unit at sams for $92 and it came with the armband and 6 Minidisks. So if your looking for a portable and lightweight unit this one should do the trick. Because i had a tiny MP3(128meg) unit and it was a pain to transfer music because any time you wanted to listen to a different album you had to hook it up to the CPU and that gets old quick. Where with this one you can have all your jams ready to go without being at your PC twice a week. Hope that helps, also I am not a fan of SONY they seem to make a lot of expensive and unreliable products but hopefully for this product it won't.This unit seems to be a perfect match for gym enthusiasts and for fitness.
