drifter_cl's Full Review: Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-NE410 Personal MiniDisc Pla...
It's my first MD and have don't have many complaints. I decided to get this after being fed up with having to walk around with a CD player and a bunch of CDs. The battery life is really awesome, so if you actually care, max it out with a rechargeable battery. The design is simple, straightforward and you get used to using it after a while.
My gripes with it as as follows: Sony shouldn't be so cruel as to package this thing with that annoying version of sonic stage. Show us some love Sony, we know you want to! I took a night to get it working with my PC...if you're an XP user it's best to sit with this thing when you're transferring files, as every once it a while i get that wonderful blue screen we all know and love, even with an updated sonic stage. The transfer time should have been quicker, but i think the greatest injustice was making it with out a back light. look, i like the purple screen and all, but hey, maybe make the back light purple (instead of the purple screen, no back light) or something! Come on Sony! Not because the thing is cheap that don't mean you can't spot us with a back light...we use it at night too!
If you were just getting a cheap and durable MD with a few basic features, you can't go wrong with this. just make sure you get the latest sonic stage and you'll be fine
