| carlos_manuel's Full Review: Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-NF610 Personal MiniDisc Pla... |
I needed a replacement for my Sony MP3 CD player, the size was the problem with it. I like to go to everywhere with music on my ears and the CD player is kinda bulky for that purpose (that makes me wonder why I bought it in the first place). I started to look for the device with alike features, so after some virtual and real research the NetMD was the choice. The SIZE, SOUND, PC CONNECTION and of course the PRICE were the key items. Now I should find a MiniDisc device with the best cost/benefit relationship and at the top of the list the MZNF610 came up, it has everything and more than I ask for any Hi-Fi portable device: MP3 compatibility, easy to use, excellent sound, portability, battery duration, etc.
My observations:
The Good
1. At the same bit rate the MiniDisc has better sound than the Sony CD player (Atrac3).
2. There's NO MORE checks in and checks out with the SonicStage v2.0.
3. Atrac3 is a way better than MP3.
4. It only needs one AA battery, which lasts almost 2 days non-stop.
5. You can listen radio and TV from the remote control.
6. The NetMD players are cheaper than their counterparts HiMD players.
The Bad
1. The headphones what it comes with are average, but most of the portable devices come in the same way.
2. The remote is not for tough work.
The Beautiful
1. The MiniDisc has STYLE!!...
