The year that my wife and I married, her mother bought her a Sony Playstation for Christmas. I had a Super Nintendo and hadn't much experience with the Playstation up until that point. Once I saw how great it was, I hardly ever touched the Super Nintendo again. It sits in a box in the basement of my in-laws home, lonely and cold.

The Sony Playstation is a home entertainment gaming console, obviously manufactured by Sony Entertainment and Electronics group. The entire principle of the system is that games are inserted (in the form of CDs) and controllers are plugged into the front interface of the console itself, the system is connected to the television and an electrical power source and before your eyes, you have amazing games! Entertainment at it's finest appears before your eyes!
The Playstation leaves plenty of room for variety. You can use several types of controllers including vibrating ones and even wireless ones. You can attach steering wheels and the like, as well, depending upon the game you've selected. The Sony Playstation can accomodate one or several players, depending upon the game chosen and the number of controllers activated at the serial ports.
What are the game options with the Sony Playstation? If I tried to name every single game, I'd be here for eternity, and personally I have other plans for my eternity, how about you? There are numerous game types, however. Below, I have taken a moment to list a few types, but certainly not all types...
~And Many, Many More!
The game possibilities are truly endless. There are numerous varieties of each class of game. Many of the games are sequels, meaning that they just keep developing new versions. A couple of the earlier games to do this were Crash Bandicoot (now with Crash, Crash II, III, Crash Team Racing, Crash Bash.. etc...) and also Tomb Raider (and I haven't really kept up with how many of those there are!)
Playstation is adaptable for most age groups. In our household, it is most used by myself, at age 29, and my kids, ages 5 and 7, as well as our nephew, age 6. The kids adore the Sony Playstation. My 7 year old has one at his mother's house and it's the second one he's owned. He simply wears these machines out! They don't last with him. We've had the same Playstation for 3 years now. It was a gift, but was purchased for $99.97. The games can be found for anywhere from $9.97 for older games and great deals, up to $50 or so, for newer, more expensive selections.
In general, I would just like to say that this console has excellent graphics, marvelous sound, a wide variety of games to keep any ages entertained, is cheaper than some other systems and games and is a masterpiece. I don't know what I would do without our Sony Playstation!
