raven355's Full Review: Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
I have to admit that the Sony PSP is a life saver! Especially if you travel with kids! This smaller version of the Play Station is small enough to fit in your hand; but, it has a very wide LCD screen which has excellent picture ability. The screen itself measures about 2 1/2 inches high by 4 inches wide. The entire unit measures 3 inches wide by 7 inches wide and is only 3/4 of an inch thick!
Some of the other features include parental control options, 36 MD memory, a 333 MHz processor, stereo speakers, a rechargeable battery which, once charged, will last to well over 2 hours of play. When you buy one you also get an AC adapter, handy carry case and carrying strap, head phones, a 32 MB memory stick and a sample game disc. You can control the brightness and sound as well.
You can play alone or multi players as well as the ability for on-line gaming where you can play against friends anywhere. You can play games, music or watch a movie!
Yes it sounds a lot like a DVD player but with the PSP you can play games which is what the kids want to do anyway!
These are a little pricy but if you shop around you can get a better deal. I got mine at Bestbuy for around $230.00
So if you have kids and plan to travel and don't want to hear them ask if you're there yet then this is the ideal game to bring along. I highly recommend the PSP.
