| tonya98125's Full Review: Sony RDR-GX300 DVD Recorder |
I have both the RDR-GX300 DVDR and the RM-AV3000 Sony Universal Remote and they do not work together. When I purchased the RDR-GX300 it was in good working order but within three months the remote died. I purchased a very expensive Sony Universal Remote,RM-AV3000, to replace the original and it is not or doesn't seem compatible and because the original remote doesn't work any longer I do not have the option of "learning" the signals to program the new remote. Without the remote the unit is nearly impossible to use as a DVR, but it still works a a DVD but without FFWRD and RWND. I will amend this post if anyone can tell me haw to get the RM-AV300 to work with the the RDR-GX300, but unless they are both working, it give this machine a thumbs down.
