With laptops being the price they are today, I dont think Ill ever buy another desktop. I purchased it at a local Best Buy store for $1,499. I went there and it caught my eye. A name brand laptop with a DVD-burner for just under $1,500, how could you go wrong.
Here are the Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 processor 2.66 GHz.
15 XGA (1024 x 764) TFT display
40 GB hard drive
512 MB DDR SDRAM
Internal DVD-RW/CD-RW drive
Memory Stick media slot
Radeon IGP 345m video card (think its 32MB)
3 USB ports
1 A/V (Connect to TV)
1 VGA Monitor (To connect another monitor)
1 Printer Parallel port
1 Ethernet port
1 Modem Port
2 PCMCIA slots
Pre-Loaded with Windows XP Home Edition
I havent had any problems with it in the 2 months Ive had it. It has great performance especially considering the price. The DVD/CD burner copies DVDs and CDs very fast (not sure of exact speed). I havent had it freeze yet. Windows XP is defiantly the most stable operating system Ive tried (no more blue screen of death. You on 95 and 98 know what Im talking about). As for the battery life, I consider it average. Ive had it last any where from 4.5 2.5 hours dependent on what Im doing (watching DVD seem to drain the battery very fast (2.5hrs) but normal typing use (4hrs)). I recommend this laptop to all. With a well know name brand like Sony and an affordable price, its a great buy.
