Pros: Great sound. Simple control of volume, treble, bass. Occupies a reasonable amount of space.
Cons: Left channel volume is weak compared to right. Feet can fall off.
The Bottom Line: Good sound is important to me. BA735 is far better than several lousy cheap speakers I have tried. I have not compared them to high-end products.

| excitablepete's Full Review: Gateway™ Digital BA735 |
Like other reviewers, I got this system with the purchase of a Gateway tower. These days, I have the system connected to my Mac PowerPC. They have lasted for years, and remain the best sound system in my apartment. Overall, I'm very happy with the Boston BA735. My only complaints echo those of other reviewers: 1. The satellite speakers can be knocked off their feet pretty easily, which means when you knock one on the floor, you have to dig around for and reassemble the feet, and sometimes the front grills. 2. Right channel is significantly louder than the left. I don't know when this happened. It may have been a gradual decline, or maybe it occurred when I attached this system to my Mac with the analog cord, rather than the pinned digital connection to my old Gateway. In order to get a balanced sound, I have to set my right speaker about 3 feet further back on the desk as the left speaker, and raise the left speaker up so it sits right by my ear. I'm wondering if the problem is just an old cord with a bad connection. I would hate to replace this speakers, but I might have to because of this issue.
