| ccchm's Full Review: Paradigm PDR 10 Subwoofer Speaker |
Great little sub. I thought of going with the PDR-8, but I think I made the right choice. I use this with a Yamaha RX-V420 receiver, along with 2 Titans for mains, a CC-170 center, and Atoms in the rear.
A tremendous amount of power can come out of this! Before I could turn my stereo up to about 6.5, but now I won't dare turn it much past 5. You can feel the bass and the air coming out of the back of it could dry your hair on a wet day!
Some of the great features of this are the speaker hookups in the back, the auto on-off (turns on when it detects an audio signal), indicator light on the front signaling the sub is ON, manual crossover and gain adjustments on back.
I did find however, if it the crossover and gain are too high, you can get a lot of rumble when you are watching movies. Other than that, this is a great sub for the money.
