Pros: sound quality.

The Bottom Line: You can go try all the speakers you want but i know you will settle on the cs400i.

| cadbury's Full Review: Polk Audio CS400 Center Speaker |
The Polk cs400i makes a huge difference to both music and movies. I originally had the cs175i but promptly exchanged it for the cs400i. The difference is phoenominal. The 175 seemed to be drowned out by my front speakers(rt600i), and the vocals during movies wasn't very loud or clear no matter how I changed settings. The 400 quickly fixed this problem. The 400 blends very well with the rt600i's,Eric Claptons' unplugged came to life, I heard instruments in the music that you couldn't normally hear or distinguish.
I considered only upgrading half way from the 175 and go with the 245(which is an excellent speaker) but took the advise of a wise old man,"DON'T SKIMP ON YOUR CENTER CHANNEL!" For the price the cs 400i is your best choice. It also takes advantage of the tri-laminate tweeter, which is a perfectly matched tweeter for my fronts and surrounds.
A noticable difference also occurred while watching movies, you will be able to hear every whisper the actors make, not to mention other background noises most speakers won't pick up on.
definitely worth a look if your in the market for a center!
