Ease of Use:
Pros:Easy to push, See thru hood, adjustable handle bar, rain cover, leg extension
Cons:Details that we find so neat on other strollers are in need of improvement.
The Bottom Line: A solid crafted stroller with a few details that could use some improvement. I likely would purchase again based on the cup holders and the trust of manufacture.
The new color (sky blue) is awesome-very unisex. The new cup holder/misc holder is brilliant (what I really liked about other strollers) aside from the unpredictable disengagement when not in use.
The some what see thru hood is wonderful, so you don't have to stop to look at the child. I might have received a lemon but my seam has ripped in the hood already (in the process of warranty paperwork-I heard they are prompt with repairs). UPDATE: THEY SENT ME A NEW HOOD ON THEIR DIME NO QUESTIONS ASKED-SIMPLE TO REINSTALL AND GOOD TO GO ;)
I trust the name Peg Perego and their craftsmenship, this product holds true for the frame itself. The wheels seem to carry the same trust as well. Yet the minor details is where my disappointment falls. The adult cup holder easily falls off when either folded and/or during folding, brakes must be in a pivot in order to work properly, children's cup holder tray is rough to touch underneath for early uncontrolled baby kicking, difficult to fold - takes some practice, front wheels must be locked forward to fold properly, basket difficult to access, basket is deep but not good in length, when folded it is heavy - making it hard to lift into a SUV, long when folded so it usually has to go in sideways making no room for other items unless the items can go on top of stroller. I will admit I was so thrilled to see Peg Perego come out with a stroller of their craftsmentship with all the nick nacks of the other strollers. I still haven't used the rain cover though-no surprise I am in California.
One thing must be kept in mind, this is its 1st year out. If I would have seen one in person before special ordering it before it was available I might have choosen an accreditable Peg Perego stroller with some experience.
In regards to being comfortable for the child; my child is 2 months old and I have used the actual stroller since she was 2 weeks old. I have always used a heavier blanket for her to lay on since the 5 point harness isn't very useful as of now and for her to lay directly on top of that would be uncomfortable. The fabric seems a little thin so for added comfort I use a thicker blanket.
The 5 point harness is connected to the 3 point harness that I do use when traveling on graded terrain such as a drive way. The 5 point is not removable all together but you can have an older child have the 5 point on and not be strapped against the stroller seat. It's so they can lean forward and to the sides to look outward but be buckled in the stroller. When the 5 point is strapped directly to the stroller seat you can't use a blanket.
When in the recline she seems to be quite comfortable. I fold the leg extension out for added space for her to lay. When laying her in and taking her out it seems to be a breeze so long as the hood isn't completely in the way.
The hood has two different sections. One section in the front of the hood where when pushed back there is no sound. The second section after the first section where it clicks to hold it into place. When being pushed back, the clicks sometimes wake her up.
When the seat is not in recline and has been raised the bumpers seem to be good comfort for the face of a fallen asleep child. Also when you use a blanket to tuck over the child's legs, the way the stroller is designed the blanket tucks in between where the seat and the side bumper meet. It's wonderful because it seems to 'stay' even when the wind blows.
Overall...a concoction of the details we admire on the other strollers and the name we can trust.
