Pros:seats can face each other, both seats recline
Cons:hard to fold, takes up a lot of room

This is my second Peg Perego stroller. My husband and I bought a single Peg for our first daughter and we loved it so much that we knew we wanted a Peg for our double stroller. We actually saw the Duette when we only had one child. We saw someone in the mall using one and we thought it looked very stylish. It looks like something you would see in Europe. Everywhere we go, people stop and comment on what a great stroller we have.

When I started looking for a double stroller, I checked out Peg Perego's website and found the name of the stroller. Then I started looking online. I also checked the Babies R Us store in our area, but they do not carry this particular model. They only carry the Tender Twin. I liked the Duette better so I ordered it online. It arrived it two very large boxes and each box arrived on a different day. So if you order one of these, don't worry if the boxes do not arrive together.

What I Like About This Stroller:

Seats: The absolute best thing about this stroller is the seats. The seats can both face forward, both face you, or face each other. I usually have them facing each other because it allows my girls to entertain each other. Both of the seats also recline so this stroller could be used for two newborns.

Suspension: The suspension is wonderful! It is great for uneven sidewalks. We love to use it in downtown Chicago because it is a lot easier to push and takes the bumps really well. The suspension also makes the stroller bounce which can put both of my daughters to sleep and keep them asleep.

Foot rests: Both seats have foot rests so my girls are very comfortable when they are sleeping. However, if the seats are facing each other and I have both foot rests up. One of the foot rests rests on top of the other.

Removable canopies: These are very easy to put on and take off. They also tilt backward and forward so you can adjust it to shade your children. I only use the canopies when we are outside.

What I Do Not Like About This Stroller:

Folding: This stroller does not fold down easily. I have an Olds Bravada and I have to remove each seat and then fold down the frame in order to fit it in the back. It takes about 3-5 minutes to put it together and take it apart, but I think it is well worth it.

Brake: You have to push down on a lever to rotate a metal bar with two "V" shaped notches. It is not easy to do and the handle side of the stroller gets lifted off the ground a little.

Other Features:

Removable bars: The bars fit on the front of each seat. I only have one on the baby's seat. I leave the other one off so that my 2 1/2 year old can climb in and out of the stroller on her own.

Storage basket: There is a large storage basket under the two seats, but it is not very deep.

The wheels on the Duette do not swivel so I takes some time to get used to pushing it. I push down on the handle which raises the other end of the stroller a little and makes it easier to turn. Now it has become second nature to me, but I had to practice before I could turn it easily.

Overall, this is a great stroller. Both of my girls love it and are very comfortable riding in it. The time it takes to take it apart and put it together are a small inconvenience for me, but I love this stroller so much that it does not matter.

I only paid $140 for my Duette because of major problems I had with an online retailer. They cut the price to compensate for all of the trouble. But I would definitely have paid the $380 retail price.
