Well, this antenna made a believer out of a skeptic. I was able to watch every channel that http://www.antennaweb.org reported that I should receive. Most of the recommendations from the website recommended a large high powered outdoor antenna. I purchased the Terk HDTVa from BestBuy and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pick up all of the channels in High Definition. The picture quality of the Over The Air HD channels is outstanding.

Here is my advice for you if you are thinking about purchasing an HD antenna: Do not try to use a non-amplified antenna. If I power off the Terk HDTVa, I drop about half of my HD stations. This was true when I purchased another antenna from BestBuy (returned it) that was not amplified.

One additional piece of advice: Do not rely on the so called "experts" at BestBuy to intelligently answer any question that you might have. I asked someone working in the TV section how many HD channels should I expect to pickup from the Terk and he told me that the antenna would only pickup regular channels and not HD! The box is clearly marked HDTV antenna.

I found the antenna online much cheaper than BestBuy's price of $72.99+ tax. I plan to box it up, return it to the store for my refund, and then purcase online.
