tclearman's Full Review: Shure E2C Consumer Headphones
I bought these to use with my video iPod because the original iPod earphones would distort easily with songs that contained a lot of bass and were uncomfortable to wear. I have always respected Shures reputation in the audio industry and thought these earphones would be worth the money. I am very disappointed with the low-end performance of these earphones. Although they dont distort they dont produce adequate bass either. I listen to a wide variety of music from rock to rap to jazz and wanted earphones to perform with all genres but the Shure E2cs fall short. On a positive note, they produce a very clean and detailed sound that is accurate and precise. The fit kit is a huge plus so you may customize the earphones to your comfort. The construction seems to be great quality with a thick cord and gold plated plug.
