| toiletoctopus's Full Review: Teac PD-D2410 5-Disc CD Changer |
I like my CD player a lot, and I will outline it here. Teac has been making electronics for a long time, and have always had a very good reputation. This unit continues their legacy, and can be had for a decent price. I bought mine for $89, and it is worth every penny and then some. It is a 5 disc CD changer, and I've never had a problem with it.
Set up is a cinch, as the owners manual makes it very easy to attach to your stereo receiver. The wires that connect to the receiver are white and red, and very easy to place after reading the instructions. It is not too big as well, and fits atop most standard sized receivers. The front of it has the power button on the left, with the open/close, play, stop, fwd/rewind buttons on the front right. After pushing the open/close button, the tray swings out at a good speed. Loading is a simple process, and you press the disc switch button also on the front. The interface window shows the disc number, and track, along with the time. The remote control is easy to use, and if you desire shuffling your music its possible with the pressing of a button. Also, you can see how much time is left on the CD by using the remote. The remote takes 2 AA sized batteries, and they only need to be replaced once a year with a good amount of use.
My unit has never jammed, unlike previous CD changer units. It has never eaten a CD, unlike previous CD changer units. That is why I like this unit, and its reliability has been excellent. I've never had a problem with it, and it produces crystal clear CD sound through my Kenwood receiver. (My speakers are 15" Cerwin Vegas) Without light the CD player's interface has all of the information in a psychodelic blue color, and its easy to read under all conditions. I fully recommend this CD player, as its durable and always does a good job. I've never had a problem with it not being able to read a CD R or CD RW either. Overall its a great product that is completely worth the price. Just be sure to use a CD unit cleaner, because all of the CD changers don't deal with dust and grime over the long run. This unit is covered with a 1 year parts/90 day labor warranty, even though you'll probably never need it. Teac's website is Teac.com, and their US address is 7733 Telegraph Road Montebello, CA. They can be reached at 1-800-447-Teac. They are a great company that continues to bring high quality consumer electronics from Japan to all over the world.
