I just purchased this unit from Amazon. It is defective.
The changer will not work when it is done playing the disk. It will change went looking for a disk to read when you close the drawer, but not after the disk ends.
The switch is mechanical so you can't turn it on with the remote.
The sound quality is good and it has no problems playing home made cd's.
The drawer opens and closes slow, and turns slow and there is a slight whine.
For the price of $80 and the good sound quality, it is worth a try to return the unit for a replacement. I will update on the results.

Stay away from this model it is a LEMON. At first it changed the disk. Then I tried using the remote and it would not work. When I pressed any button on the remote it would stop playing! After getting physical with the remote it started to work. However the defect of the first model came back. It would not change the disk after playing!
Don't waste your money!
