slayek's Full Review: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens
I bought this one used in like new condition from Bay. Slapped the lens to my Elan 7 body, and boy, this is slow.
USM is not ring type, so it's very slow. If you want to save money get the one without USM.
Picture quality is acceptable at 100-200mm range, but poor at 250-300mm range, no matter how hard you try.
From quality/price perspective, someone will be happier with a 100-300 f4.5-5.6 USM lens, much faster, FTM make this lens a real winner over 75-300 zooms from Canon ( I am not talking about the IS version, it has it's own merits).
