Joshua Bell can play notes at the speed for which "Cool Papa" was famous (before my time, and I presume yours!).

I know there have been a long line of Bell's playing ball, Buddy Bell played some third for the Rangers, Cool Papa Bell in the negro leagues (he is the one they say could turn off the light switch and be in bed before it got dark), and so Joshua Bell sounds like a ballplayer name to me.
And this sound track sounds like heaven....great job
cheers

King of the Hill du jour (Reply to this comment)

Mutter and Vengerov have stumbled badly on disc and I was impressed with the performance of the Beethoven I heard Bell give here last month.

I liked this soundtrack a lot, too, much to my surprise! I usually find music-themed films to have weak scores.
Joshua Bell as violinist du jour? Hmm, at the very least, he's easy on the eyes.

I remember Samuel L. Jackson and something of the heist plot, but nothing of the earlier times and places. And also admired " 32 Films About Glenn Gould."

I like the "Red Violin" music more than I liked the movie.
Ditto. And you didn't miss much by watching the eclipse-- in fact, you made the right choice. The movie was a major disappointment, after the brilliance of 32 Films About Glenn Gould. But yes, great score.
