The URBZ: Sims in the City for Playsatation 2

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
Pros:Great graphics, interaction, and attention grabbers. Just plain fun!
Cons:Sometimes the game freezes, irritating at points but nothing that would make me pass it.
The Bottom Line: This is just am outright fun game. You will find yourself addicted from the start and you will find yourself timing your bathroom breaks.

I must say that I LOVE the Sims Games. So far I have all the available sims for PlayStation 2 including the most recent Castaway as well as 3 PC games. But I will say Personally I enjoy playing the Sims on a game console the best. You just seem to have a wider and more personal gaming experience from a PlayStation, XBox. etc. The console version just seem to be more in depth and the graphics are easier to navigate through.
So far The URBZ: Sims in the city is in my opinion by far the best. Where in the other games when it is time for your Sim character to go to work you have to sit there and watch a scene of their empty house until they return home from work, in the URBZ you actually interactive with the work process (you actually get to do the work). Since most gamers have a very active mind when you have to sit there and wait it sorta ruins the mood and tends to be quite irritating.
In the Urbz you actually have more tasks to achieve then the others. Not only do you have to maintain you physical body and mental state, you also get additional tasks. Like in one level you are in a skate boarding community. Other characters in the community will ask favors of you to receive money and points and sometimes you will have certain opportunities to change the direction of the game.
A few of the only downsides I found in the game is this game does have some glitches. Sometimes the picture will slow down or seem to pixilate. Sometimes you have trouble when you are trying to go through the doors and there will always be a character there keeping you from entering (which really isn't a big deal but when you are a hard core gamer as I am you tend to set goals for yourself in games. I might play the same game I have previously beaten 2 or 3 times for different reasons. I will go through one as the game is meant, then I might play again to see how fast I can achieve a victory etc) I guess the only other con I can say is that in levels you have to go back to your personal apartment several times for certain thing and I just felt it was really no point to include this in the game. It was somewhat irritating. Well I guess there is one more. I didn't like the way the game ended. I found compared to the rest of the game I found finding out how to beat it was quite challenging. I almost quite at the very end because I just couldn't figure this one out. Once I finally achieved it I was satisfied as I always am when I accomplish a victory.
I know that I put down 3 or 4 cons but I really did enjoy this game. I can't wait for the next one I will be like alot of other gamers and will be ordering earlier to ensure my first day copy. If you like time management, great effects, nice story plots, and games the whole family can play and you haven't discovered the Sim's Yet this is the one to get if you have never played it. This is a self contained game so there is no reason to think you will not understand something if you haven't played the others. This one by far stands alone.
