Pros: Heats up fast; easy to clean; looks great.

Cons: Controls not as user friendly as a knob.

The Bottom Line: I'd buy it again.

I bought this cooktop six months ago for my new kitchen remodel. I chose it based on the space I had available and the functions.

My requirements were as follows:
Ribbon elements
Black (to blend in w/ the granite)
Frameless
Touch-controlled (instead of knobs)

What I love about it:
This cooktop sits flush with the granite and is very easy to clean with Windex all purpose cleaner and an occasional cleaning with the cream cleaner.
It heats up very quickly with the ribbon elements.
It has a lock-out function so that little hands won't accidentally turn the burners on.
I love the way the countertop looks with this cooktop--it blends in so well that visually, you have the look of an expansive countertop.

It took some time to get used to this cooktop (went from cheapo range to wall ovens and this cooktop). When you hit the buttons to start a burner, you have to hold down the temperature you desire just a little longer than is natural, so I often had to try twice to get the burner to start. That would not have been a problem with a knob but I do enjoy the east of cleaning and the look of the no knobs. Also, if you really need to decrease the heat, you have to take the pan off the burner because once hot (like every electric cooktop) it takes time to cool. Once I got used to those two things, it has been a dream to cook on.


I bought this cooktop for $999. with free shipping from Homeclick.com with my ovens.
