Pros: Relatively quite. Cleans well
Cons: Expensive to repair. Few people work on them. Strong spray etches glass and removes graphics.
The Bottom Line: I would not buy this model again unless reliability is increased.

| adams32's Full Review: Thermador DW44Z Built-in Dishwasher |
When we built our house we bought all Bosch appliances based on research and recommendations of friends. Like other reviewers have noted, the control module seems to be the achilles heel of this product. Compared to some I guess we have been lucky in that the control module has just died for the 2nd time in almost 8 years. The first time was 4 years after installation. The problem we have is that the dishwasher gets stuck in the rinse cycle and never drains. It just keeps running. The first time we paid $144 for the part and $95 for labor. With tax the total came to $246, a lot cheaper than buying a new, high end unit. Now the same repairman says the part will be over $200. I haven't heard what he will charge to install it but I'm sure we will be paying something like $350 this time. There is not a lot of choices for repairmen either. No one seems to work on these units. It's still cheaper than a new dishwasher but we had a Maytag in our old house that ran well for 16 years without any repairs. Not so with this one. "Tell me about it!"
