| kramerarch's Full Review: Toshiba 14AF42 14 inch TV |
This TV reigns supreme as the ultimate bargain for kitchen or dorm room applications. It is small and extremely portable, with built-in handles on the sides to facilitate easy transport, which is especially helpful if being used in a college setting.
The picture on the 14AF42 is superior to many other smaller sets in this price range, as the PureFlat screen helps to sharpen the image and limit glare from odd viewing angles. One of the most attractive features of this television is its inclusion of Component Video Inputs, something rare to find on a television in this price range and of this size. Connect a DVD player to this unit with the Colorstream Component Video Inputs and you will be more than pleasantly impressed.
I have had no problems whatsoever with this unit and can only offer praise. I purchased it as an open box item at Best Buy for $120 and frequently the set can be found at Best Buy or comparable electronics retailers as an open-box item for a similar price. Even an un-opened new unit ranges from roughly $150 - $170, a steal considering Sony Wega's offering in this size range will cost considerably more.
Toshiba has really outdone themselves with this unit and brings to the table perhaps the best bargain in small televisions on the market currently.
