| caledon's Full Review: Toshiba 51H93 51 in. HDTV CRT TV |
I NEVER buy items like this without doing a lot of research, shopping and legwork. After months of schlepping from store to store and asking questions that often baffled the neophite electronics salepeople, I finally bought this one. I could not be happier. Testing the TVs with my own favorite DVDs I discovered some shortcomings of some of the so called "benchmark" TVs.
Connected to a good (not state of the art) system, Yamaha Receiver, Boston Acoustics Center and Bi polar rears, JBL mains, Boston Acoustics effects front, Velodyne sub, this set outperforms a lot of sets costing twice as much. HDTV broadcasts are a joy. Watching the Olympics on this set up can make even swimming interesting. The on board sound is better than most peoples audio system
