| shoppingqueen1's Full Review: Toshiba Satellite A15-S157 (PSA10U-01C8WV) PC Note... |
After having a Sony laptop for almost 3 years, it was time for me to upgrade to a faster more proficient computer one that could do all of the things that I could no longer do with my Sony. I was completely sold on buying another laptop because of all of the chords that go along with buying a desktop so I did my homework and settled on this computer.
I got it home and not but two days later I had the most awful whirling noise coming from the computer. I had purchased an extended warranty that allowed me to obtain quicker tech support and of course it did not do the same thing when I took it in to the repair shop so, I was left with having to deal with the sound continuously.
Further problems began to develop and as someone else has stated in their review, if you are trying to do more than surf the net, email and do some homework this is probably not the computer for me. I am a high-end user when it comes to my computers as I use them for business and do a wide range of things on them so, this computer was not powerful to accommodate my needs.
So, combined with the horrible sound that I had for over 6 months and the fact that the computer froze all of the time while I was trying to work this was most definitely a disappointment and the wrong computer for me. The computer and I had an unfortunate accident or more like the computer got the brunt of the accident and it is no longer functioning which is just as well. I'm in the process of selling it for the screen and have since bought another computer that is everything that I need and it isn't a Toshiba.
Oh, and one more thing that I forgot if you hear a whirling noise that you can't get rid of with this computer pick it up and move it up and down and then back and forth that should get rid of it for about 5 minutes then it will start up all over again...yes, I'm glad it no longer works.
