First off if your a Shania fan I'm sorry & I don't mean to offend. But does anybody know what happend to that pretty girl named Shania Twain that used to sing Country Music?

I'll start by saying that this cd set was a gift. And that a couple of years ago I would have said that I liked Shania's music. After her last album I pretty much could tell the direction that she was headed in and it scared me but I enjoyed it on occasion nevertheless. However, if you take Shania's last album and add 20 x more synthesizer, 10 x more electronic sound, 30 x more Techno, 30 x more Pop, oh yeah and remove any sign of fiddles, guitars, and drum beats that don't sound like Rap, then you've got "Up!"

She's gone too far in my opinion... I can't stand to listen to some of the songs on this album... no wait... any of the songs on this album. Ok, maybe 2 or 3 are halfway decent but, there's a certain point that you have to stop calling your self a country artist and just say hey "In case you hadn't noticed I'm not Country anymore... Hello... Country radio and CMT stop playing me!!!"

Or maybe it's just me, but next time your flipping through the channels and land on CMT, watch a few videos, and when you see 'I'm gonna getcha good' pop up, flip up a couple of channels and tune in to VH1 and watch a few videos. And when you see it pop up there too try to tell me with a straight face which audience she's playing to.

I just want you Shania fans to realize that you are not listening in any way shape or form to Country Music and that Shania's popularity outside of the genre is bringing in the wrong type of fans to Country. Meaning fans that want to hear more music like Shania and less of the traditional roots that made Country Music great.
