| tabbikat's Full Review: Vivitar ViviCam 3715 Digital Camera |
I bought the Vivicam 3715 when my Vivicam 3615 was stolen. After being so happy with the 3615 I truly expected to be in love with my newer, higher resolution camera. Guess again. It starts with needing to replace the batteries constantly, usually once a day. Lithiums last a little longer but not like I was used to.
Then there is the fact that everytime I take the memory card out the batteries are released and when you turn the camera back on you have to reset everything.
Next is the fact that you have to wait forever and a day (at least 45 seconds, frequently longer) for the flash to powerup. I can't begin to count how many photos of my daughter I have missed since I got this camera. And unless you are in incredibly bright sunlight, don't try taking pictures without the flash -- they suck!
Overall I would tell anyone that the increased resolution that comes with the 3715 isn't worth it. If you like Vivitar stick with something like the 3615. This camera is just more hassle than it's worth.
