Cons: Software for PC only, but works with iPhoto! Camera resets when you pull out SD.

| airgun's Full Review: Vivitar ViviCam 3715 Digital Camera |
As digital cameras go this is a very inexpensive point and shoot digital camera in the 3 mega pixel range. At 3 mega pixels you get very good 8x10's on photo paper (Fuji Digital Frontier). If you want to compare this camera to a film camera, it is a cut above the disposable flash 35mm. So like the disposable camera, don't expect it to produce miracles. If you want faster flash recycle times and longer battery life, turn off the LCD screen and use the gold marks in the view finder. Recycle time with LCD screen on, 15 seconds with new alkalines. Recycle time with LCD screen off, 8 seconds. Want to save money? Invest in NiMH AA batteries and a charger. You can get 8 AA size for $15, and a charger for $20 --camera for $140, total package is still less than $200! Don't forget the 128 mb SD card that will hold 100 high resolution pictures ($50). When you use the flash, keep your subjects closer than 6 feet. One quirk, when you leave the camera on idle for a while, the shutter lag on the first shot can be as long as 5 seconds.
