Pros: Product is compact and cheap.
Cons: Unable to obtain a workable driver for downloading pictures. Without this, product is useless.

I bought this product a few days ago. It is very compact and for fifty bucks my expectations were not all that high. The camera APPEARS to work OK. I use the word "appears" because despite valiant attempts, I have not been able to install a driver that works and that is needed to download the pictures. I have an up-to-date PC with WinXP and I am not a novice at this sort of thing. I first tried to use the installation CD-ROM and, although everything seemed to work, whenever I tried to open the driver I got a failure notice. I then downloaded the driver from the Vivitar web site. This didn't work either. At this point the camera is useless. I'll keep it, in the hopes that I'll eventually find a driver that works but I would certainly not recommend it to anyone else.
