"Driver Open Fail" Mesages!

Pros: "Driver Open Fail" messages do not allow me to include a positive comment.

Cons: "Driver Open Fail" messages prevent seeing the photos!

After repeated tries, I can't get the driver to open. I've tried on both Win 98 and XP, so what's the use if you can't open the photos? The "latest" driver download from the Vivitar site didn't work either. Vivitar should hang their heads in shame for not getting a driver posted on their website that will work.
