Yummy Waffles at a high price

Pros: yummy waffles easy to use and quick to clean up

Cons: heavy takes up a lot of room high price tag

The Bottom Line: I think this is a great machine if you would like to have waffles as yummy as those from IHOP

Ok, I admit it. I am a kitchen gadget junkie. I own way too many appliances and my counters are cluttered. My garage is packed with the appliances that dont fit on my counters.

I bought this Waring Professional waffle maker after our family went on a vacation and used a similar waffle maker every morning. My kids just loved the waffles we made on vacation and I thought, heck, I would love to have one of these at home!

First of all, this appliance takes up a lot of room on my counter. It is also quite heavy. But, it works great! My kids love the waffles we make in it. I try to make extra waffles on the weekends so we have some to eat on school days as well. I freeze any leftovers and then pop them in the microwave or toaster on school mornings.

I have found that if you do not spray the machine quite well before every use it does tend to stick. I make a healthy buttermilk mix in my vitamix and then use the handy portion cup to put the right amount onto the waffler. I do find that the portion cup is a bit too generous so I tend to fill it up about 1/2 inch below the fill here line. I love the try underneath the waffler. All the drips spill on there and cleanup is so easy.

I got a refurbished model from Amazon for $29 so I could not pass it up!!
