Our family takes a vacation to Star Valley Wyoming every year. Each year we have stayed at the same bed and breakfast. This last year they had a new treat! Waffles and not just any waffle. These were great waffles.
Their appliance of choice? The Waring Professional Belgian Waffle Maker. We were so impressed with this appliance we went out and bought our own.
This waffle iron is made of sturdy steel. I mean sturdy. This is one heavy duty appliance. The stainless steel exterior gives it a modern industrial and professional look. The components are heavy duty and professional grade. This appliance will last a good long time. The interior of the Waring Waffle Maker is non-stick with minimal clean-up needed.
I was very impressed with the industrial look and function of the Waring Belgian Waffle Maker. This appliance is built to produce perfect waffles over and over again. The Waring Belgian Waffle Maker is designed for easy use. It comes with a measuring cup (to insure proper loading of the waffle maker) and a recipe book that will help you obtain that perfect waffle each and every time. If however, you do load the waffle iron with an excessive amount of batter there is a drip pan located right under the iron which will collect the run off.
The Waring Belgian Waffle Maker has heat controls that help you regulate how done you want your perfect waffle. If your family is like my family, not everyone has the same opinion on what a perfect waffle is. I like mine crisp but not burnt on the outside. My sister on the other hand likes hers slightly browned, not crisp. The Waring Belgian Waffle Maker has a unique function in that once you have loaded the iron with the batter you rotate the iron one turn. This ensures complete and even cooking of each waffle. Once your waffle is completely cooked the appliance indicates it with a beep and a light indicator. This will help you to create your own waffle with guaranteed perfection. The Waring Professional Belgian Waffle Maker consistently cooks a perfect waffle every time, quickly and evenly.
Unfortunately, the Waring Professional Waffle Maker can only make one waffle at a time. You will want to serve them as soon as possible. I have invited many friends over for Saturday morning breakfast and we usually make about 4 or 5 waffles, get them served and continue to make more waffles. We have had a great time with this waffle iron and have experimented with all kinds of toppings. The size of waffle that the iron produces gives you endless opportunity for toppings. I have found that fresh fruit and whipped topping it my favorite followed by peanut butter and traditional maple syrup.
Each waffle is easily removed from the waffle iron. No fuss, really! Each waffle justs pops out with a little nudge from a fork or knife. There is minimal clean-up. You simply wipe the iron clean once it has cooled off slightly. The stainless steel exterior is easily wiped clean and in case you had any spills, you can remove the drip pan and put it in the dishwasher.
The Waring Professional Belgian Waffle Maker is not an appliance you will keep out on your counter top. This is a large appliance and you will have to find space to store it. But, be sure to keep it in a handy location because you will be getting it out frequently and using it. This waffle can be addicting, they are sooooo good.
