My mom swears by her vintage Waring blender from the 60's. She actually went to a flea market in search of one. So when it was time to buy myself a high quality blender, I went with Waring. I thought this was cute, its the blender that is used on the food network pretty often and my mom swears by it. So I bought mine, paid a lot for it, and I have used it maybe 10 times and it crapped out. On thanksgiving I was pureeing some pumpkin to make a pumpkin pie, this stuff is really soft, and I stick it in the blender and a bunch of little balls come shooting out of the bottom. Apparently I shot the gasket? I figured its probably something thats an easy fix and I looked online to find the replacement part, it was $38!!! I spent $80 on this entire blender and to replace the little gasket on the bottom of the glass blending container is half as much as buying an entirely new one. So now I am facing a predicament, do I buy a new one (different brand obviously) or do I replace the broken part?

I LOVE the way this blender looks. Its adorable, it looks art deco and its just brings my cute vintage kitchen together.
I am so sad that my blender is broken and its a huge cost to fix it!
