The Q-Grill is absolutely perfect if you're grilling for 6 people or fewer. The 21" by 15" cast-iron grill has plenty of room for half a dozen steaks, chicken breasts, etc. It takes a few minutes to get to cooking temperature, but once there, it cooks very evenly and holds the heat well. The 12,000 BTU heat output equals that of many larger, non-portable gas grills. The fold-out plastic side tables are great for holding food or condiments and have hooks for hanging four barbecue tools.
I've had a Q200 for over a year and loved it. But now I have to replace it because I made the fatal mistake (twice) of getting it wet. Once it was because my apartment complex management pressure-washed my deck (and the grill) without letting me know. Weber sent me a free replacement regulator valve, and it fixed the problem. The second time was because the idiots who lived above me decided to wash their own deck and drenched the grill again. Now it's useless. Apparently, any significant amount of moisture on the regulator valve (which is uncovered) will kill it.
One other word of praise: Weber's customer service is the best I have ever encountered. I could probably call them and get new parts, but I don't want to live in fear of the next rainstorm knocking it out again. I'm going to find something that has a covered regulator valve. I wish it could be another Q-Grill, because it suited my lifestyle perfectly, but I can't take a chance with its susceptibility to moisture. If you live in the desert, or have a covered deck, by all means go for it. Otherwise, look for something with a covered or enclosed regulator valve.
