We needed a new dishwasher because the one in our house leaked. I have all Whirlpool appliance because I believe in them. We bought a Whirlpool Gold Quiet wash. We can set it to wash dishes at night which is a good feature.
The reason I chose this model is because it doesn't have anything in the middle of the bottom rack. The water goes up the back of the dishwasher. This gives me enough room that I can fit almost anything in the dishwasher. I only wash dishes once a day, and with three children and two adults, that is something to say, especially since I homeschool my kids and we are home all day.
It cleans really well! I am not one to rinse my dishes before sticking them in the dishwasher. I want to do as little work as possible and with this one I don't worry about it.
My only gripe with this model is with the silverware holder. The spoons fall down into it instead of staying upright which irritates me a little. And the way the silverware holder hangs on the front of the rack may give me more room for other things but it catches food against the front door and it is there when I unload my dishwasher. My silverware is clean but the door looks yucky. If whirlpool would fix this one item, I think that I'd have the perfect dishwasher.
